Back in 2020, Absolver developer Sloclap shook the industry when it revealed its next project, Sifu. While a kung-fu fighter at its core, the enveloping of strategy and wisdom shows to be the meat of this new game. Though featured prior to the release of the PlayStation 5 in summer 2020, it was not until February 2022 that Sloclap would ship Sifu. Of course, PC was available via Epic Games Store too.
However, Xbox players would have to watch from a distance as it would be a marketed & limited-time exclusive on PlayStation. But, it was not for too long as developer Sloclap later on in winter 2022 announced Sifu will be arriving to Xbox & Steam. Although it was only a March release window, fans grew excited for a new port to other hardware.
On Wednesday, Sloclap revealed Sifu alongside its upcoming Arenas Expansion are set to release on March 28th. You can watch the new gameplay trailer in the video below:
“With 9 new locations and 45 merciless challenges spread over 5 game modes, the Arenas Expansion is packing up to 10 extra hours of gameplay into the already demanding title. Masters of Kung Fu will be pushed to their limits as waves of enemies crash upon them in Survival mode, or pushed to perfection in the Performance mode,” the description for the YouTube trailer reads.
“With Time Attack, players can also battle against the clock on a path filled with enemies. Sifus looking for a twist on the game’s impactful combat can try the new Capture mode – where players must take and hold a marked area – or Manhunt mode, where a specific target surrounded by protectors must be taken down. “
