One of the topics discussed was Xbox delivering great games and they stated there are over 5,000 games in development for Xbox. Obviously, a lot of those games would be on other platforms and that would also include indie games alongside AAA releases.

Here was the exact quote from the event:

“There are currently more than 5,000 games in development for Xbox from developers across 100 countries – that’s more games in development from third parties than at any time in Xbox history. With this wellspring of games to come, our vision is to enable Xbox to offer the most diverse, easy-to-access line-up in the industry – you’re never far from finding your next favorite game.”

The recent Xbox Games Showcase was strong showing off Fable, Avowed, Hellblade 2, Starfield and a lot more.
