RuneScape has been one of the most popular MMORPGs since the early 2000s and with Old School RuneScape the game hasn’t been in a better spot. One of the original creators of RuneScape, Andrew Gower has announced a brand new MMORPG named Brighter Shores and it will not be as much of a grind compared to RuneScape.

Brighter Shores is an all-new adventure taking place in a land of magic and mysteries, with a huge number of professions to try, and something new to find around every corner. The game features an ongoing story with hundreds of hours of gameplay.

Responding to fans on X (Twitter), Gower said Brighter Shores is less of a grind than his previous successful game and it doesn’t rely on other players to be fun. He also confirmed there will be a closed beta coming and more details will be released when time gets closer.

The planned release for Brighter Shores is Q3 2024. You can see the listing on Steam.
