Bungie Studios for over a decade were known best for their work on Halo and were always a Microsoft Studio. Eventually, Bungie decided to go on a new adventure and create a new game series, which we know as Destiny. The studio ended up signing a deal with Activision to be the publisher and for the first time, a Bungie game would be played on all platforms.

Before PAX West officially began on Friday, August 30 Penny Arcade held a ‘Story Time with Phil Spencer’ panel and the Xbox chief revealed an interesting story.

Phil Spencer revealed that Destiny 1 could have been an Xbox exclusive.

“Getting the pitch for Destiny on do we want to sign this, we ended up not signing Destiny,” said Phil Spencer.

The entire interview is available on YouTube and below you can see the exact Timestamp where Phil reveals that Xbox could’ve had Destiny.
