
Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Bugbear Entertainment have released the third content update for Wreckfest 2. The update released on August 28, 2025 brought new cars, a new track, and a few new routes.
The latest update for Wreckfest 2 also brings AI improvements, gameplay, and technical enhancements. It’s also worth noting that the game continues to be in its early access phase.
Here is what’s new in Wreckfest 2 via THQ Nordic:
New Cars
- Switchback – a roaring American muscle car built for raw speed and heavy collisions.
- Popper – a nimble European folk racing car perfect for tight, technical tracks.

- Folk Racing Track (forward & reverse)
- Scrapyard Speedbowl (new layout)
- Scrapyard Figure 8 (new layout)
- Scrapyard Main Circuit (reverse layout)
- Savolax Short Circuit (forward & reverse)
- Speedway Inner Oval (small)
- European Rallycross 1 (reverse layout)

- AI difficulty settings: Novice, Amateur, Expert
- Smarter AI opponents across the board
- Player Reporting option
- SimHub telemetry support
- Improved damage consistency
- Faster loading times & improved game stability

Bugbear Entertainment also released a new update for Wreckfest Update #3:
In our review of the Wreckfest sequel, we scored it an 8.5 out of 10, suggesting it’s worth it to play even in its early access phase. For now, this game is only available on PC via Steam.
