Psyonix’s Rocket League just keeps on growing in terms of popularity. Studio VP Jeremy Dunham revealed in a recent documentary that the football/racing managed to sell 8 million copies in its lifetime and that total player count was almost at 22 million that is including individual and split-screen players into account as well.
We don’t know the steam sales and given Rocket League launched free on PlayStation 4 as part of Sony’s Instant Game Collection. Not only did the game have a success with PlayStation 4, but on Xbox One the game had a terrific launch. We can’t forget the cross-network play between PC and Xbox One.
