With only one month to go, NetherRealm Studios upcoming DCU based fighter, Injustice 2 has finally gone gold. Ed Boon has been known to have cryptic messages in his tweets. His background image is  a very noticeable change from the previous black background that he had, suggesting that the game has indeed gone Gold. This would not be the first time he has done this when revealing a game of his has gone gold. In 2015 when Mortal Kombat X was in development he made the logo gold which was his main profile picture at the time.
Boon also revealed that not every character in the game will be receiving a Premium skin. This certainly is a disappointment, though if past titles are to go by anything they’ll most likely receives this Premium skins VIA patch or DLC.
