New Splatoon Modes and Amiibo Details

Some new info on Splatoon has been revealed alongside an accompanying trailer. Two new game modes and custom Amiibos were revealed to be available along with the game’s launch  on May 29th. The first mode is Ranked Battle which will allow players to have more competitive multiplayer battles and its own ranking system. The 2nd part, Battle Dojo, pits two players against each other in a local co-op mode. One player will be on the gamepad while the other is on the TV in a contest to see who can pop the most balloons.

On the Amiibo front, there will be three custom, Splatoon Amiibo released with the game. A boy inkling, girl inkling and squid Amiibo will be able to be tapped to the gamepad to unlock specific features. Spatoon launches May 29th. Check out the trailer below.
