In a late celebration of the recently released sequel to the 2013 platformer Guacamelee, Drinkbox Studios has announced that both titles will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch. With the reveal, Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition was made available on the Nintendo eShop shortly after.

The “Metroidvania-style action-platformer” will fit well on Nintendo’s handheld platform along with the ongoing list of indie titles already on there. Guacamelee STCE features the base game of the original and includes following DLC and other content for the game.

For when we might expect Guacamelee 2 on Nintendo’s console wasn’t discussed. From what we can guess, as we’re closing in on the Fall season, it’s best to expect the sequel in 2019.

Guacamelee 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and PC.
