In December, Damon Baker who has been with Nintendo for over 12 years and ended as being the head of Nindies left his role at the company. Not only was Damon working on independent developers, but he was also working on getting third party content on the Nintendo Switch. Yesterday, it was announced that Damon has joined the Xbox team as the Head of Portfolio which means he will oversee 2nd/3rd party content and says he has been soaking up his knowledge the past month.

Adding Damon to the Xbox team is definitely a great addition to the group when it comes to the company building relationships and partnerships with other companies and with all the new studios coming on board it will be interesting to see how things go in the future and we’ll most likely see a lot at this years E3 2019.

It looks like Aaron Greenberg is excited to work with the former Nintendo executive:

Tyler Nienburg Owner & Founder

Tyler has a passion for video games and started Rectify Gaming in 2013, where the goal was to bring players together. Over the years, Rectify Gaming has grown into a reliable media outlet for news, reviews, opinions, esports, and more.
