With the news of Nintendo coming out with a premium online subscription for hardcore users of the Switch, the company revealed how many subscribers the online service has. As we know the online service came out in early Fall for only $20 a year which is a very good price compared to $60 a year for Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus. According to Nintendo’s President, Shuntaro Furukawa, Nintendo Switch Online has over 8 million subscribers which is about 25% of the install base.

In other news going into 2019 the Nintendo Switch hit 32 million units sold which is a great sign for the company.
