Update:
Following the reporting that took place yesterday, GameReactor.uk disclosed that Esposito would be casted for a role in Ubisoft’s expected Far Cry 6 for this coming Ubisoft Forward presentation. However, the outlet shortly after publishing the piece retracted the article. Thankfully Gematsu managed to capture the statement before the piece was pulled.

“Now, he doesn’t say anything about what it is or who’s developing it, but please allow me to spoil that for you: it’s Far Cry 6,” the outlet penned on the now-deleted article.
Previously it has been suspected that a new installment was underway for the series with insiders nodding to the announcement for this July’s showcase. The most recent report discloses that the unannounced project would be returning back to the tropical setting of the original titles and 2012’s Far Cry 3.

It is always interesting to see when big name actors transition from the film set to a video game studio in the past few years. The most prominent and recent example comes from Cameron Monaghan as he took on the role of Cal Kestis in Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. And now word has it that other prolific actors will be entering the industry in coming projects underway.
According to a recent interview with Collider, Breaking Bad & The Madalorian actor Giancarlo Esposito shared that he is involved with a coming, unannounced project currently. Although Esposito did not spare much detail on the project itself, he did tell this: “This video game I did; which is going to be huge. Can’t really mention.”
Interesting enough, this is not Esposito’s first time being in a video game. Back in 2014, Esposito portrayed ‘The Dentist’ for Payday 2 which at the time was an enticing reveal following conclusion of AMC’s Breaking Bad that past September. However, what this new project is certainly is an enigma for the time being. However, there is some good news following the discovery: the aforementioned title will be revealed this month.
According to recognized insider, David Ahmad, he tweeted in response to the report that the unnamed project will be shown sometime later this month. This could account for a few things for sure: one being the approaching Ubisoft Forward where we could witness his presence in a reveal. Or perhaps Esposito could be attending the Xbox 20/20 showcase that is also scheduled to take place in July.
Or even the possibility that Esposito is involved with the 2022-scheduled Payday 3 since his debut in the medium took place during the series’ preceding installment. But since the game is further away from the two showcases taking place this month, it is a more farfetched prediction than the latter soon to arrive.
What game do you think Giancarlo Esposito will be in?
