
Apex Legends, the free-to-play hero shooter battle royale, has been on the Nintendo Switch for a few years. During the latest Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, EA made an appearance again to announce that Apex Legends is coming to the Switch 2 on August 5, which lines up with its newest Showdown season.
When you log in to your Nintendo Switch console, you can grab an exclusive Legendary Pathfinder skin – P.A.T.H. available until September 16. The Apex Legends Switch 2 Edition will be free for all players.

Master an ever-growing roster of legendary characters, round up your squad and engage in 60-person Battle Royale mode, limited-time modes and takeovers. Explore the deep and detailed planet maps from across the Outlands and see if your squad has what it takes to be truly legendary.
In other gaming-related news, EA revealed Battlefield 6 and confirmed that it will not be launching on the Switch 2, and there are currently no plans to. Battlefield 6 will release on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
