I’ve been unable to launch it at all since yesterday. Multiple attempts, hard resets and it still won’t launch.

Several people who own the standard digital game are reporting it works fine. You get an error message the first time it’s launched, but when you retry it loads normally. Did you even try it for yourself before adding fuel to this damaging rumor?
