Black Myth: Wukong comes to Xbox Series X|S on August 20

Game Science announced on Thursday that its 2024 Game of the Year nominee, Black Myth: Wukong, will be coming to Xbox Series X|S on August 20, 2025. The game has already been available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store since last Summer.

Starting on June 18, players can start pre-ordering Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox Series X|S, and there will be a 20% discount until July 11.

We knew this time was going to come eventually, as ESRB rated Black Myth: Wukong for Xbox in October. The game had already sold 10 million copies across PS5 and PC as of August 2024, and the number likely grew since then.

Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG rooted in Chinese mythology. The story is based on Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature.
