Many players were unsure what to think when developer Motion Twin confirmed that the studio will be putting their ambitions towards a new title rather than concocting a follow-up for their reputable roguelike-platformer Dead Cells. But that didn’t mean that the studio was finished entirely with their highly praised title as more news has broke on the 9-month old game.
Announced by Motion Twin alongside mobile developer Playdigious revealed that Dead Cells will be coming to both the iOS App Store and Android’s Google Play later this Summer.
The new version of the game will offer a newly reworked interface which can be customized to fancy whoever is holding the device. The original prompt to hit feature will be coming with the game, but another mode will also ship with the mobile port that auto-hits enemies if tapping isn’t your thing.
Other helpful additions to the forthcoming port are MFi controller support to diverse those who would rather play with a gamepad. And free-to-play mechanics will be absent for the mobile release of the game as well.
In the announcement, it is specified the Apple products will be seeing the game’s release first following with Android-supported devices following after.
