
Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD Remaster is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23, 2026.
Pre-orders for the game are now live and it will be $49.99. The listing for Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD Remaster for Switch 2 mentions save data is not available to transfer between Switch 1 and Switch 2 versions.
Japan will receive a physical edition of Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD Remaster which will be a Game-Key Card launch. There is no path for an upgrade as well if you owned the game on Switch 1. The rest of the world seems to not get a physical edition.

July 23rd is also the 25th anniversary for Final Fantasy X which Square Enix has announced plans to celebrate it.
