343 Industries announced on Friday that Halo Infinite will be receiving an update based around community suggestions and a new map will be added to the game. The new map being added is named Dredge, it takes inspiration directly from popular Halo: Reach map, Countdown. It will be a forged map being added to the matchmaking lineup.

Dredge will have its own 24/7 playlist so players can get to know the map. It will go live on Wednesday, August 9.

The Halo community have requested many updates for Infinite since Season 4 starts and prior to that. Here is a list of all the community request updates coming to Halo Infinite.

Improved Pelican Vehicle Drops

The Pelican deliveries have been improved to deliver the same vehicles on both sides of the map in the same wave.

BTB Fireteam Improvements

When starting a Big Team Battle match the intro camera sequence will prioritize showing members of your Fireteam. Big Team Battle matches will also prioritize placing the members of your Fireteam in your in-game squad of four players.

Extermination medal

The famous Extermination medal will finally be available in all game modes. The famous “Extermination” sound track from Jeff Steitzer will be attached to the medal as well.

Death Cam Improvements

When dying in combat you’ll be able to rotate your death cam around while spectating teammates.

Reactive Water Plane

Season 4 debuted the placeable and scalable water object in Forge. The static water plane didn’t react to gameplay interactions like footsteps, bullets or explosions. With this new update the forged water plane in Halo Infinite will react to players.

Forge Quality of Life Updates & Bug Fixes

The Forge update will bring an update for Forge menu folders. You’ll be able to expand and collapse all the folders in each menu with a single action.

This Halo Infinite update will take place on August 9, 2023. Season 4 has been ongoing for over a month where it introduced Infection to the game and a couple new maps. The game also received Career Ranks for the first time during the current season.
