It’s New Year’s Eve and I think that makes it a great excuse to take some time to write to the community of Rectify Gaming. I think 2014 has been a great year for us. We went from having three staff members to eight and set standards for gaming communities. While many say doing websites can have a disappointing result, I believe Rectify Gaming has overcome that. Our site and services have been fuelled on fan feedback and only last Sunday, we finally secure the one thing fans have been asking for, a new site host. So we’ve went from Enjjin to WordPress on this request. We launched our App last Summer for Windows devices which I developed and there is a new update only around the corner which will be available in the coming days. We presented early access streams for ‘Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta’, ‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection’ and ‘#IDARB’. Our logo is even going to be featured in #IDARB which is something the entire team is thrilled about. Our Reviews division has been doing suburb and we can’t wait to really push this in 2015. I thank you all for reading our content, watching our streams and videos, listening to the podcast (which we haven’t given up on, more episodes soon!), downloading the app, writing in the forums, entering our giveaways and of course all the feedback. You’ve been a vocal bunch and I really respect that.
In 2015, we’ve a lot of stuff planned. I recently took Justin (Mehtrological) to the team to lead Automotive Gaming at Rectify. We’ve been having discussions and have a lot of stuff planned. We’ve already kicked off great livestreams of Forza Horizon 2 and Grand Theft Auto V and we’ve great video content in pre-production related to drifting, car builds, car reviews and so forth. He also recently reviewed Storm Island. I’ll be spending a lot of time next year working with him, him being the spotlight and me mostly behind-the-scenes but it’s going to be an absolute honour to work with him. CameronMines I also spend a lot of time working with, I took him onto the team to manage a lot of our Reviews/PR stuff and he’s been nailing it. We’re already discussing who’s reviewing what in 2015, as far as holiday 2015 and what we’ll try to present Early Access on. The rest of the team play a huge part of Rectify as well, I have to thank Tyler (the guy who’s in charge of everything) for spending all the money he has spent on all the resources, hosting and equipment we’ve needed and Will from LaidBack Gaming for playing a huge role in upgrading our website.
2015 will involve a huge push in the Automotive games we cover. I’m excited for Project Cars this March, future expansions to Forza Horizon 2 and the next game to herald the Forza franchise. We’ll also be doing a lot of competitive stuff, you may have noticed the ‘Tournaments’ section on the website. TwiztedShotz will be playing a huge role in creating a competitive Halo team, so stay tuned for upcoming details on that! We also just started a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Clan, if you want, let me know your Gamertag in the comments below or on Twitter so I can send you an invite. At the start of the new year, we’ll be launching the first update of 2015 to the Rectify Gaming App to switch it over to read from WordPress rather than Enjiin along with some new features. You can expect great Automotive and Halo content on our YouTube channel. More Reviews, more early access streams, more early access videos. We also announced our Early 2015 Gamenight schedule which you can view by clicking here. That paragraph is only a hint of what’s coming to Rectify Gaming.
So this past year has been a good one for us. My favourite moment was reviewing ‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection’ last November. This meant I got to not only have a Review ready before launch but also multiple Early Access Streams which peaked at around 150 unique viewers at times. That’s insane for us and I’m thankful to people like Bonnie Ross, Rob Semsey and the Halo PR for making this happen. So everyone reading this, thank you so much and I wish you all a very happy new year and a safe 2015. If you’re going out tonight – be careful!

Tyboy17 is known for creating a Wonka pictures. I asked him what was his favourite one for 2014, this was the one he sent.
