The FTC vs Microsoft legal battle has been revealing information regarding its competitors future plans aside from what Xbox has in store. Recent court documents reveals that Sony might be releasing a PlayStation 5 Slim console later this year and this information comes out thanks to Microsoft.

GameRant pointed out in the recent documents found that Sony has a PlayStation 5 Slim to launch in 2023 at a reduced price of $399.99 USD. That would be the same price as the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition and it remains to be seen if this slim console would have a disc tray or not.

It’s no surprise that Sony is planning to release a new version of the PlayStation 5. Almost a year ago it was reported that the company was planning to launch a PlayStation 5 that had a detachable disc drive. Whether this PS5 Slim has a detachable disc drive or not, that remains to be seen.
