Entering 2025, the chances for Grand Theft Auto VI still remains strong following the most recent earnings call. In that, Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive confirms that fall 2025 is still on the radar for probably the biggest release of the year. But, that is not the only major overhaul coming from Rockstar Games in 2025 too.
Recently, the developer confirmed that the same visual improvements that initially released on Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 are to also ship for PC as well in March. And, this comes after a separate graphical upgrade for another of its releases. The previous Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition also welcomed its own enhancements to its visuals this past fall also.
The team behind the upgrade alongside other Rockstar Games projects like L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files & modern ports for the 2011 title is being acquired by Rockstar Games. Video Games Deluxe is the newest addition and will be renamed to Rockstar Australia.
“It’s been an honor to work closely with Rockstar Games this past decade. We are thrilled to be a part of Rockstar Games and to continue our efforts to make the best games possible,” founder Brendan McNamara says. “After working together closely over many years, we are excited to have Video Games Deluxe join the team as Rockstar Australia,” Rockstar Games head of publishing Jennifer Kolbe adds.
And previously working on Rockstar Games’ legacy titles for new hardware could open more opportunity to revisit its classic games. The firm just recently delivered the long-awaited PC port for Red Dead Redemption and now more could possibly come with the fresh talent under Rockstar Games.
