Rumor: 2K has secured the FIFA video game license

In 2023, EA Sports officially relabeled its FIFA games to EA Sports FC and started a new story with the new name. The FIFA games might be making a comeback with a different publisher.

According to MohPlay Inc., 2K Games has secured the FIFA video game license, and the outlet’s source also claimed there would be a FIFA 2K25 release later this year. The news comes at an interesting time after FIFA president Gianni Infantino said they are developing a new game.

“We are developing new partners and a new game. Get ready!”

In other news, it was rumored back in February that 2K could be making a ‘LEGO 2K Goooal’ title, and at the time, Kurakasis did say he wasn’t sure if 2K would be making a new FIFA game. With EURO 2024 happening in July we may see announcements regarding a new FIFA 2K game and this LEGO game as well.
