The Game Awards is around the corner as it takes place on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. We already know the show will have a similar runtime as previous years and about the same amount of announcements as we’re used to.

SEGA is going to be at the show because they started sending out letters to content creators telling them to tune in to The Game Awards at 7 PM ET. The top of the letter reads “New Era New Energy”. Many assume that it will be a new game announcement or bringing back an old classic.

With the recent tease of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 featuring Shadow, it’s quite possible this could be a tease for the film’s new trailer. In the past, we’ve seen The Game Awards host trailers for Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

What do you think SEGA could be teasing?
