Came November 2023, RoboCop fans rejoiced in the new Teyon release, ‘RoboCop: Rogue City’. In the same vein as Terminator: Resistance, it delivers an authentic adaptation of the films into the video game medium. “Robocop: Rogue City is a love letter to the films and one of the best movie-to-game adaptations I can think of. It is definitely worth exploring at full price if you are a fan of the genre and the films,” our review for the game reads.
Recently from the Nacon Showcase held this month, Teyon reveals a new standalone RoboCop release is coming later this summer. Announcing Robocop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, it is a continuation of the base game following the events of its conclusion and offers a new story this time in OmniTower. And, Alex Murphy is also showcased to have playable segments too prior to his transformation into the titular cyborg.
You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“Following the success of RoboCop: Rogue City, which captivated over one million players, Teyon Studio calls the half-man, half-machine, 100% cop back into action with an all-new standalone expansion: Unfinished Business. To reach the top of Omni Tower, now overrun by elite mercenaries, players will have access to new weapons, brutal finish moves, and special missions. These missions will take them through intense flashbacks, offering the chance to play as Alex Murphy for the first time in a video game,” the press release reads.
On Steam, the synopsis adds: “When it’s too late to shout ‘”freeze”’, you can rely on RoboCop’s arsenal to send a chilling message to your foes. Choose from a wide range of powerful weapons to serve Justice, including the iconic Auto-9 or the all-new Cryo Cannon. Unleash RoboCop’s unmatched strength to deliver devastating finishing moves – whether smashing an opponent’s skull against a concrete wall or into the nearest drinks vending machine.”
