Developer Nightdive Studios announced System Shock Remake will release for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on December 18.
System Shock Remake was originally released on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on May 30, 2023. It was later released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series on May 21, 2024. We reviewed the game as well on PS5, scoring it an 8 out of 10.
In the press release, Nightdive Studios producer Justin Khan shared the following: “We think fans will be very pleased with the performance and platform-specific functionality we’ve delivered with these System Shock ports for Nintendo‘s consoles.” He went on to say that the port is running very smoothly and considers this to be a “impossible port” but has ended up being successful like DOOM 2016, Wolfenstein, and The Witcher 3 on the Switch 1.
The file size for System Shock Remake on Switch and Switch 2 is 10.3GB, as revealed on the Nintendo eShop.
