Diddy Kong, Birdo, and Koopa Paratrooper were debuted for Mario Tennis Aces earlier this Fall, and now reaching the end of the season Nintendo has announced the next additional characters that will be coming to the June released title.

Introducing Lumo, Pauline, and Boom Boom to the game and set to release later in early 2019. The trailer that reveals the three characters is from the Japanese YouTube channel, so for when we could expect to see the characters might vary depending on other regions until Nintendo confirms for Europe and North America.

With the sports title already reaching roughly over 25 characters, it’s expected we will continue to see more iconic characters from the Mushroom Kingdom. As Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is right around the corner, that doesn’t mean Nintendo won’t drop support for the nearly six month old tennis game. For who might make an appearance on the court is anybody’s guess, but fans can always hope for some of their lesser know yet favorable personas.

Mario Tennis Aces is available now for Nintendo Switch.
