For many of the veteran fans that will be returning to Tony Hawk Pro Skater with the shining remake for the first two installments later this Thursday, developer Vicarious Visions looks to be doing more than simply reiterating on the classic 1999 & 2000 titles. The new information happens to come from the leaked trophies that surfaced online recently this week.
Heading over to Exophase, a video game tracking website, the domain happens to spare the new list of trophies for the approaching title. With 37 in total, only a few are pretty eye-opening thanks to the context of their objective. In that, they display that completing them require the player to unlock certain maps in “THPS1” and “THPS2”.
There are six trophies of the bunch that unveil the unannounced feature to the game. Since the game’s announcement treading back to May of this year, neither Activision nor Vicarious Visions disclosed that the classic versions of both Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and Tony Hawk Pro Slater 2 would be playable in the new game. Howbeit, it surely is a welcomed feature for those looking to go on the definitive nostalgia trip.
This in not the first instance that Exophase tipped unannounced additions saved for the game’s launch. Back in September of last year, the website at the time listed the achievements for Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD which disclosed that Sonic would be a unlockable character for the game. This would be the blue hedgehog’s debut for the Super Monkey Ball series.
Elsewhere recently regarding Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2, one user on Twitter uncovered the control schemes for the game. When digging through the files for the demo currently available for those that pre-ordered the game, they discovered the prompts for Nintendo Switch peripherals, essentially verifying a Switch version is underway.
