From what was on PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360 is slowly being dismantling now more than a decade later. In that, titles of the 7th generation systems have faced a growing wave of delistings in recent years. Even later this November, some of the most iconic Battlefield titles on console are to shut down its servers forever.
On PlayStation specifically, this is no different. In 2021, the Sony Interactive Entertainment shuttered the online services for LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, and LittleBigPlanet 3 at the time. However, it wasn’t until this spring that the PlayStation firm went ahead disabling the online lobbies for LittleBigPlanet 3 more recently.
Now in a new update from the official account on X, LittleBigPlanet 3 is to be officially delisted as well as the attached DLC for the 2014 title. There is still time until Halloween on October 31st to purchase the title or the add-ons for the base game. “Last Chance to Purchase LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4) and LittleBigPlanet DLC from the PlayStation Store,” the letterhead reads.
“After 10 years of playing, creating and sharing content in LittleBigPlanet 3, the game and our entire range of LittleBigPlanet DLC will be removed from the PlayStation Store on October 31st 2024. Anyone that currently owns or purchases LittleBigPlanet 3 or any LittleBigPlanet DLC before it is delisted for sale, will still be able to access their purchased games and content after its removal.”
It continues: “This is a friendly heads-up that if anyone in the community or any newcomers still wish to own a digital copy of LittleBigPlanet 3 or any LittleBigPlanet DLC currently available for purchase – This is your last chance to do so! Thank you for your continued support and understanding.”
