Red Dead Online Announced With Beta Coming This November

With news slowly being revealed for the upcoming sequel to Rockstar’s 2010 western Red Dead Redemption, the publisher has officially revealed the multiplayer portion of the anticipated title.

In the blog post, Rockstar goes into detail with how online will take place from the previous and expanding to this game. Combining a fixture of both competitive and cooperative gameplay in a new and more unique way.

The post continues on with other fundamentals that will be in the upcoming mode, along with stating:

Red Dead Online will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.

Online for Red Dead II will be coming in November after the game’s official release, with a beta for players who own the game early in the month. More is said to be revealed about the online “soon”, assuming we will hear more in the next gameplay video for the game.

Similar to GTA Online back in 2013, multiplayer wasn’t shipped with the base game initially. For how Rockstar plans to implement online play for the approaching title will be interesting seeing how much was made for Grand Theft Auto V.

Red Dead Redemption II is releasing on October 25, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
