
Although Fortnite is virtually available on al platforms, the game does, however, not full released on the respected systems. For example, the respected version on Android devices. Epic Games officially released the beta for Android users back in October 2018, but it has been well over a full year since then and the game was still in that phase leading into the new decade. But this week, the officially changed.
Earlier this week, Epic Games shared on the Fortnite Twitter account that Android users can finally partake in the extremely popular battle royale from the confines of their mobile device.
The news couldn’t have come at a better time especially now during the ongoing pandemic inflicted by COVID-19: now fans can drop from the battle bus from any room in the house. In all seriousness, this new addition to the mobile market might actually bring in an influx of players with the game officially debuting on Android.
For those unfamiliar, the Android market in particular is a gold mine of studios to tap into the large market of players in Asia. Witnessing the success of PUBG Mobile in the past year, the same can also be said for Fortnite as well. The only problem is if the game can be accessed I the respected region due to localization alongside permission by the nation’s officials also.
In other Fortnite-related news, the game just yesterday broke a new record of online concurrent players. During the inaugural show for Travis Scott’s Astronomical yesterday, the battle royale received and rough estimate of 12.3 million active payers that day.
