It looks that developer Guerrilla Games is looking for more help according to recent job listings that surfaced online. The team from Amsterdam is asking for a Lead Creature Animator and Technical Vegetation Artist. Both advertised roles share to hone in on elements of the developer’s most recognized series – Horizon Zero Dawn & Killzone.

Development on the next project for the team is left unknown officially seeing that the latest entry arrived back in 2017. However, speculation and reports have shared that the next project might be a follow-up to the open-world, third-person action-adventure game. According to a recent report from Video Game Chronicles, the outlet tells from sources within the studio that Horizon Zero Dawn 2 is planned to ship for the upcoming PlayStation 5 and offer online co-op support to some extent.

Among the job listings that arose recently, the most interesting happens to be the request for a Senior Game Writer. It looks that the team is looking to expand its storytelling team with someone to potentially helm stringing experiences like side quests and other experiences. What really raises an eyebrow is one requirement listed on for the position.

Possess extensive knowledge of stories and narrative design in open-world RPG games, online games, and MMORPGs.

Between the two franchises, this factor looks to hone in on the likely candidate for Horizon Zero Dawn. Not only does the listing ask for extended experience with “open-world RPG games,” but also project incorporating online compatibility. Reflecting on the VGC report, it was also stated that Guerrilla Games initially planned to include online play for the 2017 release, but was scrapped to focus on more essential elements for the project.

So atop of previous ambitions to incorporate cooperative play with Horizon Zero Dawn and the new report suggesting that the second game will offer that feature, it looks that Guerrilla Games could be asking for individuals to assist in translating that aspect to the alleged Horizon Zero Dawn follow-up. Of course, this is only conjecture and could be completely off: take this information with little fact until properly disclosed by Guerrilla Games or publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Perhaps Guerrilla Games is looking for additional assistance for the PC version that was initially announced for later this summer. You can read the full announcement of the port by heading here.

What do you think these job listings might mean for Guerrilla Games?
