This past month has been exciting for Xbox Game Pass holders as the video game streaming service adopted some very exciting properties to its lineup. At the start of the month, titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, DayZ, and Final Fantasy IX were all scheduled hit the service. Now inching closer to the end of the month, a new shipment of titles are shared to be on their way in the coming week.
Firstly, Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake is already here as announced previously. This happens to be a large feat for the platform since the 2010 title was delisted from the Xbox Store back in 2018, but now has resurfaced via Xbox Game Pass and is now included on Windows 10 as well for the first time – breaking its exclusivity to Steam.
Another is the anticipated Minecraft Dungeons: as taken by the titling of the project, players will adventure through a slew of different levels and stages as they take on hordes of familiar and new enemies from the Minecraft universe. The game at the time of reporting its May release, which is next week, shared that there will be downloadable content that will ship following its retail launch.
Here is the full lineup shared this week:
Console
Alan Wake – 5/21
Cities: Skylines – 5/21
Minecraft Dungeons – 5/28
PC
Alan Wake – Coming Soon
Cities: Skylines – Coming Soon
Minecraft Dungeons – Coming Soon
Plebby Quest: The Crusade – Coming Soon
On the PC side of Xbox Game Pass, it is presumed that the ‘coming soon’ listed date applies to the already revealed times on console; essentially they are out now. The addition of Cities: Skylines is a niché release for the service seeing that PlayStation Plus subscribers also received the game this month also.
In other Xbox Game Pass-related news, Microsoft disclosed that the 2017-launched service just struck 10 million users as of April 2020. You can read the full report by heading here.
