Apex Legends ‘Future Icons’ Event Features Vantage & Wattson Updates And Arenas Duels Game Mode

The string of updates for Apex Legends continue to periodically roll out. Earlier in February, Season 24 – Takeover arrive introducing a meta revamp alongside creator challenges that rewarded avid players. That same season also introduced the ‘Beast Mode’ event which included a universal Power Sword mythic and the complete retooling for the Skirmisher class.

Additionally, Apex Legends players were also treated to the ‘Fight Force’ event as well. In that, players were met with a limited-time mode that put the Titanfall EPG-1 front & center. However, Apex Legends more recently finally welcomed a new Legend, Sparrow. In Season 25 – Prodigy, a new Recon update cam3 to further improve the class versatility.

Now this week, a new event is here – ‘Future Icons’ event. The event goes live from June 24th to July 15th. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“Test your mettle in a new limited-time Arenas variant: Duels. Chain 1v1 duels throughout a 5-minute match on a server of 30 players while a leaderboard tracks your performance. Each Legend, loadout, and spawn location are randomized, but both you and your opponent will be mirrored—pushing you to make the best of each moment on even ground,” the new game mode overview reads.

“Speaking of our scholarly Paquette, she’s recharged for split two with buffs worthy of her power: faster fence building, electrifying doors, and slowing enemies (including a particularly pesky prodigy). We also gave Echo’s mom some love too—Vantage mains rejoice! Both Wattson and Vantage will be unlocked for the duration of the event so everyone has a chance to try them out,” Respawn added.
