
There has been a large rumor circulating the video game industry that a “big” Xbox game will be coming to PlayStation next week. It started with Shinobi on ResetEra responding to a fan who speculated Killer Instinct, but the insider said it was a bigger game. NateDrake on ResetEra also says there will be something announced soon as far as another Xbox game coming to PlayStation.
Multiple reports have been going around that Forza Horizon 5 will be getting a port to PlayStation 5 next week during Gamescom.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Forza Horizon 5, one of Xbox’s biggest releases this generation go on to more platforms. There is no doubt the racing game would do well on PS5 as we’ve seen with Sea of Thieves when it led sales charts.
According to Jez Corden of Windows Central, Forza Horizon 5 will not be the game announced next week coming to PlayStation 5. However, he said it wouldn’t be a surprise to eventually see the game be ported to Sony’s console in the future.
Gamescom Opening Night Live will be taking place on Tuesday, August 20 at 2 PM ET and there will be several games featured. One of the games featured will be Indiana Jones and The Great Circle which is planned to release this year and it was previously rumored that was a game considered for PlayStation 5.

Forza Horizon 5 reached 40 million players
Earlier this Summer, Forza Horizon 5 reached a new milestone by having hit over 40 million Xbox players on the game in its lifetime. Since 2021, there have been that many Xbox players on the popular racing game, and that’s not counting PC players.
