
This week, the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct came and went. With the scheduled showcase, Nintendo presented the new ensemble of planned releases for the platform. First & foremost, the system itself is set to release this June with a price tag of $449.99. Additionally, the platform will launch with its own unique version of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack that includes a GameCube Virtual Console too.
Among the bevy of news also included a new platform exclusive by FromSoftware – The Duskbloods. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“Developed for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2; ‘THE DUSKBLOODS’ is a PvPvE title with online multiplayer at its core, where up to 8 players vie for supremacy among themselves and against challenging foes,” the press release shars. “Play as the ’Bloodsworn’; a group that has transcended human strength thanks to their special blood, and throw yourself into a violent fray for “First Blood” as the twilight of humanity approaches.”
The official website adds: “This Nintendo Switch 2 software game supports up to 8 playersand the battle between the player and the enemy unfoldsIt is a PvPvE-based multiplayer action. The player surpasses humans through the power of special bloodHe became a ‘Twilight Blood Clan’ who gained power, and became a ‘Blood of the Beginning’ (First Blood).”
Of course, this new IP explores a lot of inspirations from the dormant PlayStation 4 release, Bloodborne. In fact, there was initially excitement for a potential update for the game earlier in 2024.
