
CD Projekt Red announced this week that the team in Poland will be hosting an upcoming livestream to present a new demo for Cyberpunk 2077 next Friday, August 30th. The developer shared that the demo will be around 15 minutes long with new gameplay for the developer to show off for the game. It is generous the studio is giving a heads up this time around compared to the previous 48 minute demo that was abruptly dropped.
In the recent blog post, CD Projekt Red details that the approaching livestream will be an edit of what media has already been witnessing at this year’s Gamescom event hosted in Cologne. Disclosing that more will be revealed on “the thought process behind creative decisions, information about Pacifica—one of the districts of Night City—and TONS of stuff on playstyles you’ll be able to adopt.”
The developer also revealed that the originally planned panel that will be hosted at this year’s approaching PAX West has been cancelled in replacement for the livestream. Initially, the team planned to present new gameplay, but later decided to do the edit for unspecified reasons.
In other news revolving around this year’s Gamescom, Google’s Stadia Connect that aired prior to the first annual Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation revealed that the anticipated sci-fi, first-person RPG will be coming to Google Stadia at launch.
The upcoming livestream will be going live on the developer’s Twitch & Mixer at 8 PM CEST / 2 PM EST / 11 AM PST.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Google Stadia on April 16, 2020.
