
In the realm of organized crossovers and collaborations with Microsoft, the firm in recent weeks continues to incorporate its Halo franchise with different entities. Recently, we witnessed the addition of a Halo themes for GPS travelling application Waze which featured USNC & Banished options for the client. Even more recent is the new series from Hoonigan creating a fully functioning Warthog that is still developing.
As for the series’ 20-year anniversary taking place this November, Microsoft is not missing the opportunity to celebrate. On November 15th, fans can find the Special Edition Xbox Series X alongside a Special Edition Xbox Elite 2 Controller that will remark on two decades of Halo. Of course, the momentum does not just end there.
From an announcement over at Microsoft Casual Games on Twitter, both Microsoft Solitaire alongside Microsoft Mahjong are expecting Halo themes for the virtual tabletop games.
Surely, this is not the first time either we witnessed Microsoft integrate its IPs into more traditional Microsoft ventures. Already, we saw Cortana become the AI assistant for Microsoft hardware including computers and even on Xbox as well. Back in January is where Microsoft Edge introduced a handful of Halo themes for the browser alongside other namely Xbox titles like Gears of War & Sea of Thieves.
As Halo Infinite reaches closer to its December release date, developer 343 Industries is preparing a second Halo Infinite Multiplayer Tech Flight. The new online playtest is to emphasize more on server stress with Big Team Battles being featured in this month’s ‘Inside Infinite’ update. You can read the full report by heading here.
