Krispy Kreme is pressing “start” on a delicious new adventure in celebration of PAC-MAN’s 45th anniversary, unveiling a playful partnership with Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. that brings the iconic arcade character to life in doughnut form. Beginning today and available for a limited time at participating U.S. locations, the Krispy Kreme x PAC-MAN Collection offers fans a nostalgic bite of gaming history—just in time to celebrate one of the world’s most beloved video game legends.
To honor this milestone birthday, Krispy Kreme has crafted three all-new, PAC-MAN-inspired doughnuts served in a special edition PAC-MAN game dozen box. Fans of the yellow chomper will want to grab these treats before it’s “game over.”
The new lineup includes:
- PAC-MAN Party Doughnut – A festive take on the Original Glazed®, this doughnut is piped with yellow buttercreme-flavored icing, topped with vibrant sprinkles and a charming PAC-MAN decoration.
- TEAM GHOST Doughnut – This nod to Blinky, Inky, Pinky and Clyde features a chocolate Kreme™-filled unglazed shell dipped in black icing, finished with a PAC-MAN maze design and topped with a Ghost team piece.
- Strawberry Power Berry Doughnut – Packed with strawberry Kreme™, dipped in red icing, and finished with white sprinkles and green leaf icing, this doughnut pays tribute to PAC-MAN’s fruit-chasing frenzy.
The celebration doesn’t stop at doughnuts. Krispy Kreme is turning up the sweetness throughout May with a series of limited-time giveaways and promotions that let fans play—and snack—like it’s 1980.
From May 12 to May 18, Krispy Kreme aims to give away 45,000 free Original Glazed® doughnuts during Hot Light hours—7 to 9 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m., or whenever the iconic Hot Light is shining. Guests can score one free doughnut per day, in-shop or via drive-thru. And there’s a twist: if fans hit that 45,000-doughnut “high score,” the beloved Strawberry Glazed Doughnut will make its long-awaited return, a flavor last seen in August 2023.
In another retro-flavored move, Krispy Kreme will transform its classic Doughnut Dots into “Pac-Dots” from May 12 through May 14, giving customers a free 10-count of Dots with the purchase of any regular-priced dozen.
The celebration levels up again on May 22, PAC-MAN’s official birthday, dubbed PAC-MAN Day, when fans can snag a dozen Original Glazed® for just 25 cents with the purchase of any regular-priced dozen. It’s a price that’s as throwback as the game itself.
