Summary

3/10

If you’re on the hunt for treasure, you won’t find it here. This game is nothing more than a polished turd, dolled up to appear more valuable than it actually is. Beneath its glossy exterior, there’s little substance, and the more you play, the more it feels like you’ve been duped. You’re left staring at something that, despite its shine, fails to justify its nearly $20 price tag.

My Museum: Treasure Hunter is described as ” an educational First-Player View simulator designed for renovation fans, expeditioners, management, and history enthusiasts, where you restore the museum you inherited from your grandfather, revive its glory, and compete for the admiration of critics and visitors!”

Well if you ask me the reason Grandpa passed away from a heart attack is because of how his museum turned out…

My Museum: Treasure Hunter could have a lot of potential, with many different things to do throughout the game, such as going on expeditions, cleaning and fixing artifacts, decorating the museum, taking care of guests, and bidding and buying new items. But sadly, that’s not the case at all and is a great disaster.

Where do I even start? The game controls are clunky, the mouse sensitivity is too high, and clicking on things sometimes doesn’t work at all or works after clicking it 10 times. That’s when you can actually get to do a task, as the game crashes more than cars at a Demolition Derby.

The game just feels incomplete and released to try to recoup some development costs after they gave up. Also mixed with the piano elevator music loop, the game is gonna make you go crazy after just 5 minutes, with frustration.

Through-out the game I also felt I was in Developer or beta tester mode, as all the puzzles I encountered just gave me the solution after a few seconds unprompted, but at the same time because of how poor the game is , I also had no idea what to do to complete the puzzle at the same time.

Talking more about glitches and bugs and weirdness of the game, instead of wall or object collision , instead of just stopping you from colliding with a wall , you’ll just walk through it then, you will be teleported to a random environment of the games choice.
