Back at Microsoft’s E3 Conference this year, it was revealed that two DLCs will come to the March-released Sea of Thieves as free updates to expand on the gameplay and address some notable bugs.

It was revealed in a blog post on the game’s website that the upcoming DLC will be pushed out an extra week due to some bugs that are in the new expansion.

The main reason for the delay is a memory leak says the game’s Producer, Joe Neate. In a post on the progress for Forsaken Shores, Neate states:

Our priority is to ensure that everyone can play the Forsaken Shores update when it launches, without any unexpected issues disrupting the experience.

Hopefully with the extra week to resolve the current problem we can get a bug-free update.

Sea of Thieves: Forsaken Shores is now set to release on September 27, 2018.
