Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Ranked Highest Selling Title For EA, Exceeds PC Sales

It was just half a month ago that publisher Electronic Arts and development team Respawn Entertainment finally released the long-awaited title, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The project since its announcement back in 2017 has hardly been disclosed until last E3 as studio head Vince Zampella shared the title for the game. Follow suit, first glimpses upon gameplay demo have been released leading to the title’s release date this past November.

Reflecting on this generation’s past few Star Wars properties that many fans and players have anticipated only resulted to be underwhelming with the latest two installments from Swedish developer DICE with the rebooted Battlefront series. However, seeing Respawn’s current track record with Titanfall and this year’s abruptly released Apex Legends, this looked to possibly the break that many have been hungry for since last generation.

Now closing out November, the metrics for how Jedi: Fallen Order have finally came in revealing that the game has surpassed both preceding titles from DICE and even became the most sold Star Wars IP for PC during its initial release window.

Disney Senior Vice President of Games and Interactive Experiences Sean Shoptaw had to say this:

Elsewhere, Respawn’s own Vince Zampella thanked those who already played Jedi: Fallen Order and shared his dream coming true of being given the opportunity to create an original Star Wars story. He then goes on to share that “it’s a great time to be a Star Wars fan” with the recent release of the game, Disney+ exclusive Mandalorian, and the upcoming Episode IX film.
