Original:
Today, Ubisoft announced that the publisher will be officially announcing the next installment for the Assassin’s Creed series. But instead of a proper reveal with a CGI-rendered trailer to showcase the new era the game will be taking place in, Ubisoft instead will be introducing the latest entry through a Photoshop livestream to slowly unveil where the next game will be taking place in.
To do this, Ubisoft has decided to partner with well-known and prolific Australian artists BossLogic to illustrate the reveal. For those unfamiliar with the artist, BossLogic creates very breathtaking shots and images then furthers transforms them into otherworldly pieces of art. Most recently, they did a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant following his passing earlier this year.

Although we will not truly witness the full composition until the latter of today, we already have a hunch as for the time period the will be taking place for the unnamed game. The most recent rumor comes from a listing on GameStop Italy which discloses the title to be a ‘Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok’. However, recognized industry insiders have disputed the leak to be inaccurate according to sources familiar with the project.
Howbeit, other credible insiders like Bloomberg Tech’s Jason Schreier has reported last year when still writing for Kotaku that the next installment will be set during the Viking Age. Although he did not reveal the title for the game itself, he did subject the information to be already teased through the means of a poster in The Division 2.
Reiterating on the initial report, Schreier today shared his excitement to finally see the Viking era title revealed. He injects some of his own speculation to establish that this will strictly be a reveal following the finished picture. But, he does elaborate that there could be a gameplay showcase later on in the following week.
