
What virtually arrived as a byproduct of Microsoft’s acquisition of Zenimax media is the addition of Doom Eternal to Xbox Game Pass at the start of October. The Xbox company running pretty hot following its announcement to soon be in ownership of namely franchises such as Fallout, Dishonored, and The Elder Scrolls less than two weeks issued the game will be arriving to the subscription service.
However, this addition only came in benefit for Xbox Game Pass owners – on console. Even more, the March-shipped title is also available to Android owners who pay for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. We later learned that those owners, if owning one, can even stream the game to a Samsung fridge as well if desiring to.
But while the game is only available on select platforms, the question lingers as to when the same will be accounted for PC. Thankfully, Microsoft shared the PC version of Xbox Game Pass is expecting Doom Eternal later this week. But not only that, there are also some engaging features that will launch for Doom Eternal when it ships for the service this Thursday.
In the blog post, Microsoft pens that a new Master level ‘Super Gore Nest’ which is written to reiterate on “original you know and love from Doom Eternal’s campaign and gives it a remix – adding more big bads and changing up combat encounters for a fresh, fast, and frenzied combat experience.” Atop of that, a new ‘Classic Mode’ will also drop which refreshes on core Doom starting the game with the player equipped with a shotgun at hand.
Just this Monday, id Software alongside Panic Button unveiled that the Nintendo Switch port for Doom Eternal will be shipping later next week. You can read more on the approaching version by heading here.
