Each week, Rectify Gaming looks through the indie games in development on Kickstarter and brings you the best looking, most promising, and most interesting of the bunch. Here’s what we like this week:

The Wild Eight

Developed by: 8 Points
Wild Eight
The Wild Eight is a survival co-op game featuring up to eight players. You and your friends are the survivors of a horrific plane crash in the wilderness of Alaska. Many threats await your group, from cold, to hunger, to attack from starving wild animals. A larger group means a better chance of survival in the procedurally generated world.

Why it’s worth a look: The Wild Eight is a unique look at a crowded survival genre. The top-down viewpoint, the number of people that you can play with, the setting, and the procedurally generated world take the genre in a different direction, and the opportunity to betray the group at any time throw in a healthy mistrust to the mix.
Funding Status: Raised $6,394 of its $50,000 goal from 85 backers, with 37 days to go.
Release Date: December 2016

Gebub’s Adventure

Developed by: John Wallie
Gebub's Adventure
Gebub’s Adventure is a side-scrolling journey of a peculiar little character out to collect orbs and help other creatures along the way. It’s a peaceful adventure of exploration and charity as you reach out to help those you encounter, and receive help in return.

Why it’s worth a look: Gebub’s Adventure is a quaint little game with an art style evocative of the hand-drawn appearance of doodle jump. There aren’t many games that could be classified as relaxing, so they’re worth looking into as they come along. Gebub’s Adventure has a lot of personality in those lines and doodles, and the music adds to the charming mood.
Funding Status: Raised $120 of its $3,500 goal from 10 backers, with 29 days to go.
Release Date: August 2016
