In the realm of all things Mega Man, the Capcom IP is in a unique position as of recently. The latest we heard from the franchise was just over a month ago from the June-held Nintendo Direct at the time. In that, the publisher revealed Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. The lineage of titles are slated to release for PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
Additionally, there is a live-action movie in the works for the video game series. The film is undergoing production with Catfish, Paranormal Activity 3 & 4’s Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman. In a later report from IGN, it was shared that the upcoming picture would be arriving to Netflix. If that will be upon release or following a theatrical release has yet to be clarified.
This week, SNK reveals that the long-unreleased Mega Man Battle & Fighters will be arriving to Nintendo Switch this week. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“SNK CORPORATION is proud to announce MEGA MAN BATTLE & FIGHTERS is available to download today, August 4th, for the Nintendo Switch!” the press release reads. “Get straight to the action as you take on boss characters from the MEGA MAN games 1 to 7! Defeat a total of 40 bosses and put a stop to DR. WILY’s plans for world domination! Character data can be obtained randomly by defeating enemies! Set out and collect all 36 types to fill up your own personal database!”
Noted, Mega Man Battle & Fighters is a two-game compilation bundling both Neogeo Pocket Color titles Mega Man: The Power Battle & Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters into one.
