The controversial Gaia skin will be temporarily removed from Modern Warfare III

Since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s multiplayer on November 10, players discovered that the Gaia skin which is a Carry-Forward skin from Modern Warfare II is very pay-to-win. Sledgehammer Games held a Q&A on the official MWIII subreddit answering questions including one about this overpowered Groot skin.

Players are facing an issue online with the Gaia, also known as the Groot skin. It has become difficult to spot players using this skin, putting opponents at a disadvantage. So a fan asked about it on Reddit and Sledgehammer Games said they’ll be disabling the item in a future update.

Adjustments to Gaia and Gaia Blackcell Operator Skins are in the pipeline for Modern Warfare III. In a future game update, we’ll disable this item until said changes can be released to all players.

Soon enough players will not be allowed to use this skin and hopefully, a fix will come in the future to let players use it again. In the Reddit Q&A that Sledgehammer Games hosted, they revealed Gunfight will launch with 6 maps in Season 1.
