Magicians: The Devil’s Deal Announced, Coming In 2027 To XBOX/PlayStation 5/PC

At the XBOX Games Showcase, there were some exciting first-person experiences on the way. One title that is highly anticipated is the DLC for Doom: The Dark Ages – Revelations. Coming next month, the add-on is expressed to being “a brutal new chapter of the Slayer’s saga.” The expansion will feature an all new Chain Spear that further reinvents the fast-paced movement of the 2025 title.

Elsewhere in the showcase, Uppercut Games & Focus Entertainment unveiled Magicians: The Devil’s Deal. It is coming to XBOX, PlayStation, and PC in 2027. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

“In Magicians, you’ll control Jacob Menteuro, a stage magician from 1890s England. Once a member of an elite society called the Magic Ring, Jacob was betrayed and abandoned by his colleagues. Now, he finds an unlikely ally – The Devil – who throws Jacob headfirst into the endless caverns of Theatreland, a hellish underground version of London where stage magic has become disastrously real,” the synopsis reads.

Uppercut Games director Ed Orman also explains: “We fell in love with the rich and flamboyant setting of 1890s stage magic, densely packed with imps, tricks, devils and colorful characters. A time where stage magicians were the ultimate celebrities, and even the simplest misdirection was a power of its own. At Uppercut Games, we’ve got an incredible team of talented game makers who are driven to create deep & compelling experiences for players to get lost in.”

He adds: “Theatreland is a decaying jumble of London streets, corrupted theatres and seemingly endless caverns. Each Master Magician has their Realm, a place for them to practice their own special branch of stage magic. And that magic has itself gotten out of control, tearing at the very fabric of this reality. Jacob will need to explore every nook and cranny if he’s to survive all of Theatreland’s dangers. He’ll gather supplies to keep him alive, make deals with the few denizens still sane enough to speak, and find the resources he needs to enhance his Tricks.”
