Illumination is reportedly ready to pitch the idea of a Super Smash Bros. “Avengers” movie from multiple spinoffs

Illumination is looking to create a large cinematic universe for Nintendo and their Mario IP. Obviously this year the Super Mario Bros. Movie was released in theaters making it the first of many from Illumination most likely and now the company has a pitch prepared for Nintendo.

According to known industry leaker, DanielRPK, “Illumination has prepared a pitch to present Nintendo a shared cinematic universe with multiple spinoffs that will culminate in a Super Smash Bros. movie as their “Avengers”.

Many have been predicting future Nintendo movies and there’s no doubt that a Super Smash Bros. film has been discussed in the community and how it’d be done. This would be an interesting lead-up to what would be a highly anticipated movie.

Nintendo had confirmed in early November they are working on a live-action The Legend of Zelda film which is yet another iconic Nintendo franchise getting a movie.
