Kingdom Hearts 4 is expected to release in 2026 says insider

Square Enix has been busy releasing Final Fantasy titles over the last year with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Final Fantasy XVI. One of the other major projects that has been confirmed to be in development is Kingdom Hearts 4. A few years ago Square Enix released an announcement trailer and according to insider Midori, we are a few years away from release.

When Will Kingdom Hearts 4 Release?

Kingdom Hearts 4 is expected to release in 2026 says Midori who has become a reliable insider across Sega, Nintendo, and Square Enix information. She says the title looks different currently than it did when we first saw the game.

Obviously, with reports like this, we have to take it with a major grain of salt since Kingdom Hearts titles have taken years of development before. If Kingdom Hearts 4 does release in 2026 that will make it at least seven years since Kingdom Hearts 3 released for PS4, and Xbox One. This franchise has been known to see multiple delays for its games so we’ll see where the fourth installment lands.

Other rumors suggested that Kingdom Hearts 4 would be released in 2025, but either way, more information about this game will be coming out at a later time. We all had hoped it could have been featured at Summer Game Fest 2024, but it was not.
