Like clockwork, Gamescom is on the way as annual events are stacking up this summer. Last year, the show kicked off with its annual Gamescom Opening Night Live before the show floor opens up to attendees in Cologne, Germany. Similarly, the industry has seen continued success from other shows hosted by the same organization.
From Geoff Keighley, he held the yearly ceremony The Game Awards. In 2023, it was no different with the growing success. It was reported from December that the presentation held the highest peak viewership as well as being the most-watched show from his firm. Additionally, Summer Game Fest that took place recently also continued this trend with better viewership once again.
This week, Game announces tickets are now live for purchase in anticipation for this year’s show in August. What’s more, the event is being held in a new venue – still in Cologne, Germany.
The gamescom congress 2024 will be one of the first events ever to take place in Confex, the new conference centre on the Koelnmesse exhibition grounds. Confex offers state-of-the-art facilities and enables more guests to participate in the congress. Due to limited space, no further growth was possible at the previous venue, Koelnmesse’s Congress Centre North. Another advantage: the move to the south-west of the exhibition grounds will noticeably improve connections to the gamescom Business Centre and the Cologne Messe/Deutz train station.
